The Experience

Restoration,
not production

Restore & Rise is a small-group destination retreat for Black women who have built careers in the wedding and events industry — and who are ready to step away long enough to reconnect with themselves.

This is not a conference. There are no keynotes, no pitch rooms, no vendor tables. What exists instead is four carefully constructed days at a private estate in Montego Bay — shaped entirely around rest, reflection, community, and renewal.

Every element has been chosen with intention. You will leave differently than you arrived.

Why This Exists

The industry
takes.
This gives
back.

The wedding industry is built on presence — the visible, polished, relentless presence of the people who make it work. We hold the weight of other people's most significant days while quietly absorbing the emotional labor and pace that comes with it.

Restore & Rise was created for the moment after that. For the version of you that has been poured out one too many times. For the professional who is ready to operate from a place of genuine fullness — not just momentum.

This retreat was created with a particular truth in mind: that Black women in this industry carry an additional layer — of navigating spaces not always built with us at the center. That truth deserves a space built entirely in response to it.

Who This Is For

Built for the woman
who builds

You are accomplished by every external measure. You show up for your clients, your team, your audience. Restore & Rise is for the woman who is ready for something to show up for her.

  • The Planner & Designer

You coordinate the extraordinary for others. You have built something real. This is yours.

  • The Visual Artist

Photographers, florists, designers — your creativity has poured into everyone else's story. This space is for yours.

  • The Entrepreneur & Educator

You have built something from nothing. You have earned the right to step away — briefly and beautifully.

What to Expect

Every element,
chosen with intention

I
Accommodation

Luxury Private Villas

Six beautifully appointed villas across the estate, with both shared and private occupancy options available. Every room is a proper bed — no sofa beds, ever — and every space is designed for genuine rest.

II
Dining

Curated Dining

Private chef breakfasts on the terrace, candlelit estate dinners, off-property dining at elevated Montego Bay restaurants. Every meal is an occasion — and the table is where the deepest connections form.

III
Wellness

Wellness & Reflection

Movement, stillness, and practices that reconnect you to your body. Offered as an invitation, never a requirement. Designed to meet you exactly where you are.

IV
Community

Leadership Conversations

Not panels. Intimate, honest conversations about leading as a Black woman in this industry. The discussions that don't happen at conferences — held in a room of twelve.

The Destination

An island that
insists on
slowing down

There is something about Jamaica that demands a different pace — the quality of the light, the lushness of the hills, the warmth that is not performance but culture.

The estate that hosts Restore & Rise sits above Montego Bay with views across the Caribbean. Privately. Completely. The world you came from feels very far away. Exactly as it should.

  • Exclusive private estate — no shared grounds with other guests
  • Direct flights to Sangster International Airport (MBJ)
  • Private excursions and cultural dining experiences
  • Jamaica-first vendor and hospitality partners throughout
  • Full concierge and private transportation included
The Property

Six private villas.
Shared & private options.

Twelve guests. Held entirely for this gathering. Choose shared occupancy in one of our multi-bed villas, or upgrade to a private room of your own. The property has hosted retreats before and understands what intimacy at this level requires.

Every meal
is an occasion

Welcome dinner at Palm Terrace. Farewell dinner at Sugar Mill or equivalent. Private chef breakfasts on the terrace every morning. The table is where the retreat happens.

Creative Experience

Your work is visual.
So is your restoration.

For women whose careers are built around imagery and aesthetic, the opportunity to be on the other side of the lens — somewhere extraordinary, with people who see you — is both rare and necessary.

Day Two

Personal Content Session

An individual, professionally directed session set on the estate grounds. Current, authentic, and reflective of who you are right now.

Day Three

Editorial Experience

A collaborative editorial production set against the estate and the Jamaican landscape. A shared portfolio asset and a document of this gathering.

Throughout

Retreat Documentation

An honest, beautiful record of what happens when extraordinary women are given space and time to simply exist.

Common Questions

What you may
be wondering

Do I need to be a BWIW member to attend?

No. Members receive priority access and preferred pricing, but Restore & Rise is open to all Black women in the wedding and events industry.

What does my investment include?

Everything except airfare — your accommodation (shared or private), all curated dining, all programming, personal content session, editorial experience, excursions, welcome gifting, and private transportation throughout. Airfare is separate.

Will I have a private room, or will I share?

Both options are available. Several villas offer shared occupancy with a roommate (always in a proper bed — never a sofa bed), and private occupancy upgrades are available for those who prefer a room of their own. You'll select your preference at registration.

What's the difference in investment between shared and private?

Full pricing for both options will be shared with the interest list before public registration opens. As a guide, private occupancy carries a modest premium over shared.

How do I get to Montego Bay?

Fly into Sangster International Airport (MBJ) — direct flights from most major US cities. Private airport transfers are included for all confirmed guests.

Is this only for wedding planners?

Not at all — planners, designers, photographers, florists, venue professionals, content creators, educators, and entrepreneurs are all welcome.

When does enrollment open?

Enrollment opens in early 2027. Interest list members receive full details and priority access before anything opens publicly. Capacity is 12 women total.
